I actually made this card for the same friend... Who just bought her first house! What an exciting time. :)
Again, without my Thumb drive, the digi artist shall remain nameless... And I feel terrible about it. (and will edit, as soon as I get the name - I SWEAR!)

Just wanted to make a Thank you card for my dear friend - who came swimming with me and my baby girl, Every week, for 10 weeks straight. Not that a card is near enough for how much I appreciate her - but it is a start!

I am a terrible digi owner, and left my thumb drive with the names of the artist at work... but I promise to give credit, as soon as I get it back... oops!!

Yup... that's right.
Tonight I am a card making machine... because I pulled out the Cricut, and oh how I missed her...

So mom needed a card for her friends birthday... and I needed a card for a friend.
And that is how it all started.

I am not a really girly girl... Not complaining - Just saying - I would rather decorate a piece of paper, than make myself up. I was going to put this card in the Floral Delights at A Spoonful of Sugar - but I missed the deadline...
But I gave it a shot anyways.

New Card

I made a card for my best friends birthday yesterday. (funny how I spent my day perfecting it, and she glanced at it and said thanks. (she is sooooo not crafty!)
First time using the glue pad to stamp, and add some glitter... What a mess I made, but the card looks nice. :)

The best intentions...

So first let me say... I really really reall wanted to make a card for Lisa's sister and have been thinking of a plan.
Tonight, when I go to piece it all together... I accidently cut my toe on a blade... (don't ask!) and got ink on the 90% finished card. (although I did find a creative way to fix the corner... here's hoping no one notices. LOL)

There was a Free digi of a frog given for the challenge, by Crissy Armstrong, (One of Whimsy Stamps Artists). I used a couple other stamps, that I am unsure of the artists. :(

Black and White with....

I know I am still really new to this, and by all means not nearly as talented as most of the other cards I see... But I keep trying, and as soon as I saw that Black White with a splash of Red Challenge at Crafty Creations I just knew I had to try it.
Also didn't hurt that I came across a number of Free Digi's and have been wanted to play with that aspect of 'stamping' for awhile.

The finished projest looks like this.


The Digi's are from MyGrafico and designed by Sarah Paris (Birds) and Mujka Design Inc (vintage swatches).
The Rub-ons are from My Mind's Eye

I had an idea...

... and though they don't always work, I think she turned out well.
