So... I made this card for a challenge called "At the Fair", and then got MUCH to busy on the weekend to post it before the challenge closed (well, honestly it was a Monday challenge that closes on Saturday night!?!? which is why I missed it!). :(
Luckily it fits into the challenge over at Meljens, where the digi's are from anyways!

Chey, my 16 year old niece, has been staying with me all summer - and now into the school year. I can not stop saying how nice it is to have a crafting partner!
When I showed her the digi for Karens Doodles Kids Challenge she thought it would be fun to try - especially since I was letting my 2 year old make a card!

At age 16, we can enter 2 kids challenges.

Baby Girl's Card

Awwww... My little girl is just 2, and yet she is always asking to make a card with mommy, "I make card too mommy? I do it too? All by myself?" It is the most precious thing to hear... as she stands there all wide eyed staring at the collection of colours in front of her. Markers, and Stamps, and paper piles!!

And so... today I let her choose!!
I laid out 3 sets of paper that had a polka dot theme.
I laid out 3 sets of Pencil Crayons to go with the papers.
I had three prints of a wonderful Digi, offered by Karens Doodles Kids Challenge , for her to colour, how ever she would like.
I let her hold the scissors with me, (which she held amazingly still for!)which resulted in a slightly lop sided oval.
And when I asked her what she wanted the card to say, she said "I wove you mommy".

As it turns out, we can enter 2 kids challenges...
And I am going to enter her in one other Challenge too... I mean why not, she worked very hard! lol

New Card

I made a card for my best friends birthday yesterday. (funny how I spent my day perfecting it, and she glanced at it and said thanks. (she is sooooo not crafty!)
First time using the glue pad to stamp, and add some glitter... What a mess I made, but the card looks nice. :)

The best intentions...

So first let me say... I really really reall wanted to make a card for Lisa's sister and have been thinking of a plan.
Tonight, when I go to piece it all together... I accidently cut my toe on a blade... (don't ask!) and got ink on the 90% finished card. (although I did find a creative way to fix the corner... here's hoping no one notices. LOL)

Black and White with....

I know I am still really new to this, and by all means not nearly as talented as most of the other cards I see... But I keep trying, and as soon as I saw that Black White with a splash of Red Challenge at Crafty Creations I just knew I had to try it.
Also didn't hurt that I came across a number of Free Digi's and have been wanted to play with that aspect of 'stamping' for awhile.

Fathers Day Card

So it seems a little sad for me to make a Father's day card, seeing that it has been over 5 years since that smiling face graced my eyes... But there is a Cricut Expression up for grabs - which is a dream to a full time single mom.

My Second Card

I loved scrapbooking, and have just started making cards - and I am finding that having a Challenge encourages me to do more crafting with my limited free time...

So here is Card #2... My first time colouring, so please go easy. (I swear to you there is not a store within 250 kilometers that sells Copic Markers - that I would soooo LOVE to try.)



I used a CC designs stamp, a Martha Stewart punch, and the embossing of a Cuttlebug.
Add a little Ribbon, and I have a Birthday Card for my Mom's friend.

I am thinking I will enter it in the Whoopsie Daisy - "As you like it" Challenge, and the Crafty Creations "Favorite Stamp".
